• You are protected—As a patient volunteer in a research study, you have the same rights to safety, confidentiality and quality of care that you expect from your primary care physician.
• During the course of your participation in a research study, you will be seen more frequently throughout treatment so as to monitor the progress of your condition. Our research facility is monitored by several Institutional Review Boards (IRBs), also called Ethical Review Boards. The job of the IRB is to guarantee that your rights are fully protected and that you are not exposed to any unnecessary risks as a patient volunteer.
• FDA Regulated—As a FDA-regulated research facility, we work with a local network of hospitals, government and community-run healthcare clinics, and inpatient- and outpatient-based physicians in our mission to provide compassionate medical care to our community.
