Chronic Pain

A common side effect of taking NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen) is the possible formation of ulcers in the digestive track.

The purpose of this study is to find out if a new drug that combines ibuprofen and Pepcid® in a single pill form can help reduce the chance of getting an NSAID-related ulcer.

Treatment for this trial includes taking 3 pills a day and 6 office visits over the course of 24 weeks. There will also be a telephone follow-up call on week 28. Four endoscopies will be performed thought the trial period to monitor each patient’s digestive track closely.
